This has been a crazy 8 months. I would definitely say that even though I've been taking photos for seven years now, I haven't 'become' a photographer until now. Photography and I have been engaged up until now, but now we're married ;)
My commitment to photography has grown a lot and I have discovered what it means to have vision.
Our class (along with the second year students) went to Yarmouth last week to document the town and it's spirit. We went to the lighthouse and the sunset blew my mind. It put perspective on how far I've come but how much farther I have to go, and how important it is to still continue to refine and clarify my vision. I'm super grateful for all the many hands that have helped shape my life!
ahhhh what a super sappy post, but it's how I feel! Now here are the grand plans for May, lots of shooting in-studio, and soon will be owning a new Nikon body!
Shoots for May:
-Artemis with her new crazy straight black wig, incorporating glitter and deer skullz
-My matriarchal lineage: mother, grandmother, great grandmother
-My sister's grad photos
-Possible portrait with fake scars
On top of all of that I am initiating a newsletter to promote studio and gallery co-op places in the city!
Here comes the summmmmerrrr!
